What is Demaplaning?

Dermaplaning is an extremely safe, non-traumatic, effective exfoliation procedure – a method of skin rejuvenation. It uses a sterile surgical scalpel to manually exfoliate the surface of the skin to remove excess dead skin and peach fuzz hairs.

The sterile tool is held at a 45-degree angle and is brushed along the skin to remove the hair and skin cells.

The procedure makes skin look and feel smoother and more radiant, reduces the appearance of scars and fine lines and allows makeup and products to glide onto the skin.

What does Dermaplaning do?

  • Provides deeper product penetration
  • Removes soft facial hair that traps dirt and oils
  • Promotes smoother skin
  • Safe procedure for removing dead skin cells and “peachfuzz”
  • Reduces the appearance of acne scars
  • Diminishes the look of fine line and wrinkles
  • Works on all skin types
  • Instant results and no downtime
  • Improves the application of makeup

Dermaplaning is safe and effective for all skin types and colours and provides an alternative to chemical peels or microdermabrasion. It is a good choice for anyone who has fine facial hair, extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea or visible facial veins.

A peel or mask done immediately after Dermaplaning is an excellent way to make sure that the treatment penetrates deeper and more evenly. They go great together and we recommend the combination for optimal results.

I recommend that a Dermaplaning treatment is carried out every 4 weeks.
